I’ve come to the realisation that virtually everything that we are told by the ruling caste is in one way or another little more than lies/propaganda/spin/marketing in order to maintain control of the wealth-generation/-extraction systems that provide their power/prestige/privilege/revenue streams. And I can’t help but wonder if it hasn’t always been that way since we story-telling apes first ventured into large, complex societies that required organisational structures that provided differential access to resources that morphed into hierarchies of influence and wealth. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Everything we are experiencing flows from this and the policies/actions our 'leaders' enact in order to 'protect' themselves and their families.
