The Jevon's Paradox point is really well articulated here. Pretty wild to think about how coal didn't replace biomass and oil didn't replace coal, yet we keep assuming renewables will be diferent. I've been following wave energy for a while and the corrosion problem alone seems insurmountable at scale without constnat hydrocarbon inputs. Makes ya wonder if the real solution has to come from consumption patterns rather than supply technologies.
